book press [July 23, 2008 @ 12:40pm] handmadebooks [solipsized] Hey guys, I am entering in a craft fair in November and my goal is to create 25 books for old vintage covers, so far I have four text blocks sewn and everything, only problem is I am looking to make myself a simple wooden book press that I can use as well. I saw a link to one in comments a while back, but I have gone back like 180 entries and I can't find it anymore. Wooden covers [July 24, 2008 @ 12:16am] handmadebooks [copticbandit] [ mood | artistic ] This is a little number I made last month. Wooden covers with a strip of mahagony down the front and back covers; yellow, lined paper (a bear to print out), and coptic binding. Six signatures of six folios each for a 144-page journal. It is a B5 size journal. (about 21 inches by 18 inches). Fun to make and even more fun to spend a lot of time sanding by hand.
